Monsignor Ignacio Barreiro discusses the Catholic Polity and its practical obstacles. He discusses the dilemma faced by the Catholic political activist in contemporary society. Marxism, Communism, and Democracy can both threaten Freedom. Relativism and Secular Humanism as dominant ideologies in a democracy leads to a totalitarianism of the majority. The difficulties of simultaneously trying seriously to promote the truth, while recognizing the reality of the existence of a multicultural and anti-Catholic world are examined. Mgr. points out the dangers connected with imprudent and counterproductive zealotry on the one hand and cowardly accommodation on the other.
